Alexandra Burke posts sweet picture on social media to announce her engagement

The stage was set and typically Alexandra Burke chose Sushi Samba restaurant, Herron Tower as the back-drop for her engagement acceptance photo with her fiance Josh Ginnelly.

Speculation was fever pitch following a recent trip to Paris that the former X Factor winner and Strictly finalist had got engaged. Arriving at Sushi Samba in a chauffeur driven black Mercedes on Saturday night Alexandra looked sensational whilst stepping out in East London flashing her silver diamond engagement ring.

The romantic settings and stunning views of London made Sushi Samba the perfect back-drop for her sweet instagram picture which has now gone viral. (Alexandra pictured with her beloved mother Melissa Bell who died in September 2017).

In a statement posted on Alexandra’s Instagram page which within 24hrs had received 54.8k likes read: ‘Smiling as I type this because it was the best day ever in Paris and so unexpected. My soul mate and my love asked me something that I could only have dreamt of. Being in love is one of the most magical feelings life has to offer.
