Mattel most famous lady ‘Barbie’ has just got a whole lot more sophisticated thanks to the recent partnership with Hervé Léger by Max Azria.
The launch which will soon be rolled out across various countries will feature Barbie dolls decked in bandage dresses, clutches killer heals and black corsets however there appeared to be one piece of detail that was missing from the collections.
Celebrating the launch talents including rising stars A*M*E, Delilah, Kimberley Garner, Bip Ling and Tamara Ecclestone arrived wearing signature bandage dresses.
Here at Flyer we’re not entirely sure who the collection is aimed at as it would appear a bit mature for the average youngster. There is also disappointment that the collection that we saw on display did not include any African or Asian Barbie dolls.
Despite the best efforts by the PR to keep the celebs away from posing with the Barbie doll collection A*M*E and Celeb DJ/Model Bip Ling were happy to oblige to Flyer Newspaper’s creative demands and pose for pictures. There were however plenty of complaints regarding the nature of the PR and all the photographers reportedly walked away from the job an hour early.
The collection however was given the thumbs up by most of the fashion bloggers who attended however there was disappointment that none of the Barbie dolls were Black.
