Minaj mania hits the capital

Trinidadian / US rapper Nicki Minaj brought chaos to the centre of London today as she embarked on her first full day of promoting her Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album.

Hundreds of fans blocked the roads around Wardour Street as the diminutive rapper stepped out to greet her fans.

Wearing leather black leather bondage gear and Thriller PVC jacket, Minaj made two attempts to exit the building. As the crowds surged forward Nicki was ushered back into the hotel.

Third time lucky Nicki made a run for it and headed to the Graham Norton show.

According to reports the scenes were fairly chaotic on the pre-recorded Graham Norton show. One audience member accused the star of not returning her Twitter message.

Another report suggested that a fan tried to chase Nicki back stage but was apprehended by staff security.

Returning to the W Hotel security was on lock-down and the star was taken through a secret side-door entrance.
