Miss Jamaica UK press launch

Contestants representing the Miss Jamaica UK pageant show took time out of rehearsals to meet the press at the exquisite Caribbean Edge Restaurant in Bruce Grove, Tottenham, London.

Contestants and the press were greeted with a Champagne reception at this plush North London eatery.   CEO of Caribbean Edge Restaurant Maria said: “It’s been an honour to welcome the Miss Jamaica UK contestants to the Caribbean Edge Restaurant here today. We are also especially proud to be part of Miss Jamaica UK, Taneka  Willocks will be representing Caribbean Edge Restaurant.”

Caribbean Edge Restaurant, one of North London’s largest restaurants seats 60 people and has a hall with a capacity of 200 plus.

Seated at the centre table, Miss Jamaica UK contestants were provided with a three course meal courtesy of the Caribbean Edge Restaurant. 

“The food and the hospitality today was really fantastic, the extra two week’s we had to prepare for this show has been worthwhile.” commented Taneka.

Patrick Weir from FLYER said: “I would like personally thank Natasha from Caribbean Edge for hosting such a first rate event and to Maria, Colin and all their staff for making this event possible at such a short notice.”

Contestants also used the opportunity to perfect their walks and mingle with press who included: George Ruddock (Voice / Gleaner Newspaper), Sherwin Harewood (PR & Marketing), Sonia Evelyn (Evelyn Hair Products), June Dailey (CEO Miss Jamaica UK), Crown Prince Miller (Veteran Singer), Patrick Weir (FLYER), Jason (Cherrie Box Media).
