Jerry Hall opens Harrods Winter Sale

International model and actress Jerry Hall and daughter Lizzy Jagger were the surprise guests at the world famous Harrods Winter sale this morning. For the past two weeks Harrods had kept the opening a top secret.

Jerry, who recently completed another spectacular stage performance in the Graduate in Perth, wowed the crowds in elegant structured dress and coat by Roland Mouret, with black patent courts by Dior. Daughter Lizzy who carved her own place in the fashion world after making her catwalk debut modelling for Thierry Mugler, also looked stunning on the  red carpet in a beautiful outfit by Alaia.

“Harrods has been amongst my favourite destination stores ever since my first arrival in London. I’m hugely honoured to have been invited with my daughter to open the doors today.” commented Jerry.

Crowds lined the side of the Harrods store in Knightsbridge, some people have had been queuing for over five hours to get their hands on the bargains.

“It’s always the same each year, the crowds are good natured but we will inevitable catch at least 20 people shoplifting.” said a local policeman.

People have also been asked to be vigilant for pick-pockets warned the Metropolitan Police.

Animal rights activists also ensured their voices were heard this morning at the opening of the winter sale which runs until Sunday the 23rd January.

    Good on those protestors, selling fur should be banned in this day and age. Jerry Hall is obviously maing a desperate attempt to salvage her career by doing this sort of stunt

    Harrods is a vile shop that still sell real fur. No other large stores sell fur anymore, its high time Harrods stopped. Hopefully with Al-Fayed out the way the new owners will stop this cruel and outdated practice.

    Real fur is cruel and unecessary, I wont shop there again unless they stop selling fur of course
