MANGO, Spain’s international fashion brand, presents Kate Moss as the star of its new Spring/Summer 2012 campaign at its flagship Oxford Street, London store today. The retailer has chosen the British model for its campaign image because she embodies the type of urban, independent and confident woman MANGO customers can relate to.

The advertising campaign will feature Kate Moss wearing the latest new Mango Spring/Summer collection photographed by renowned photographer Terry Richardson.  The  legendary photographer has captured the natural and spirited image of Kate who says “I’m really excited to be working with Mango for S/S 2012, we had a great time shooting the campaign, the team are so easy to work with and shooting with Terry is always fun.”  

MANGO has also produced a new TV commercial featuring Kate Moss, called Spy Game. Shot under the direction of Terry Richardson in London, the film will be launched in early March in approximately forty countries, including France, Germany, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

MANGO has a reputation for featuring models and actresses of international stature and Kate Moss is the perfect choice to take over from Isabeli Fontana who was the face of the A/W 2011 collection. In the past MANGO has also worked with Scarlett Johansson, Penélope Cruz, Milla Jovovich, Lizzy Jagger, Karolina Kurkova, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Inés Sastre, Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington and Diane Kruger.

 The new season MANGO trends include graphic contrasts between clean and unstructured lines.  As a variation to the cleanliness of lines, the collection has a clear 60’s influence, particularly in the dresses. Lightweight, pleated and gathered fabrics offer movement and present a fresh, flirty and feminine touch.  MANGO is also introducing a more casual line, bringing together ethnic elements and blending them with sportswear details to give a very simple, strong urban look. Tie-dye, abstract prints and patchwork in indigo and yellow tones with unwashed effects reinforce the casual appeal.

MANGO opened its first store in Barcelona’s Passeig de Gràcia in 1984 and now has over 2,400 stores in 107 countries. Its concept is based on a quality fashion product combined with the latest fashion trends at an affordable price. American recording artist Kanye West brought some early festive cheer to the capital when he hosted a celebrity Christmas party at the Le Baron Restaurant chain in Mayfair.

At 10.pm, the club security did their best to try and convince paparazzi that nothing was taking place. “There’s nobody coming tonight, you are wasting your time,” said the doormen repeatedly.

Rocking into the club venue at 11.pm, staff and security at this supposedly secret party looked distinctly embarrassed that most of London’s press new Kanye’s itinerary. “The fact that the club blatantly told lies meant that nothing they did or said could be taken with any seriousness,” said a paparazzi.

“We know Kanye’s drivers, his friends even the number plates of his vehicles, had it not been for the fact that eight photographers were looking for Katie Price, the situation between the paps and the security could have got out of hand,” he continued.

To make matters worse according to one reporter “There was a disparity between the length of time some black males had to wait compared to other guests.”

For some celebrities this was the second of three nights of partying hard in the capital.

 Tolula Adeyemi still looked hot even though this is her third consecutive night of partying.

 The demand for invites as you can imagine were hot, ‘A-list’ celebs including Jamie Winstone was made to wait for over 20 minutes.

Recording artist Wretch 32 was lucky to have found the strong shoulders of actress Jessie B when he stumbled out looking a bit tipsy.

Out manpowered the club security was reportedly forced to strike a deal with the paparazzi to ensure Kanye West had a safe exit from the venue.

Naomi Campbell heads home following her spectacular fashion show and charity auction which marked the start of London Fashion Week Autumn Winter collections 2010.

This year ‘Fashion For Relief’ was held in aid of The White Ribbon Alliance as it advocates for the health needs and rights of women and girls around the world, especially supporting its partners in Haiti at this time to rebuild the healthcare system for mothers and babies.

The White Ribbon Alliance, whose Global Patron is Sarah Brown, is an international coalition of organisations and individuals, active from grassroots to government and international level, saving the lives of pregnant women and newborn babies where needed around the world. Funds raised at ‘Fashion For Relief’ went towards making sure mothers and babies are at the heart of Haiti’s new health system, and to ensuring that this essential work continues in other countries where women are at risk of dying when they give birth.

Bringing together on the catwalk, top international faces of fashion, music, film, TV, sports and society. The show featured glamorous clothes by the world’s most renowned and respected fashion designers including; Vivienne Westwood, Jaeger, Dolce & Gabbana and the late Alexander McQueen.

Speaking after the fashion show Naomi’s mother Valerie said: ‘It’s unbelievable, today we have collected over £1m pounds, and we have raised more than New York, I’m so proud.’

Beaming from ear to ear Naomi thanked well wishers and headed to a private party in Kensington.
