A star-studded night at the Royal Albert hall saw the crème of UK talent walk the Tapis Rouge as the Cirque du Soleil brings its celebrated show back to London. VIP guest Paloma Faith wore a special dress created by World renowned designer Alex Noble.

Musician Paloma Faith was wearing a custom made dress designed by Lady Gaga’s designer, Alex Noble. Noble will be opening this seasons London Fashion Week (Off Schedule) shows with a film showcasing his incredible journey as a Fashion Designer.

Although temperatures averaged around zero at the Royal Albert Hall, Reality stars from Essex and Chelsea rubbed shoulders with musicians, entertainers and models at the star studded party in London.

It is too early to assess fashion trends for 2012 although there are already some front runners.

World renowned Czech Republic born fashion model Eva Herzigova (Wonderbra) walked the blue carpet at this premier.

Eva’s look was sophisticated and matched the occasion.

Musician Yolanda Brown (below) was also spotted at the Cirque du Soleil opening night.

The talented saxophonist who is applying the finishing touches to her debut album had nothing but praise for tonight performance.

“It was awe-inspiring and breathtaking. I could have watched the show for another two hours,” commented the two-time MOBO winner.

From the World of dance, BGT winners Diversity were spotted heading to the premier.

The Brtitain’s Got Tallent winners were cheered on by an army of fans as they rocked into the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington, London.

American solo artist lady Gaga, today took some time out from preparing for her trip to Carlisle where she is performing on Sunday to personally handout some cookies to her die-hard British fans here  in London.

Standing in front of the hotel just off Park Lane, Gaga plucked flowers from her bouquet which were then tossed in the general direction of her fans.

“There were rumours that she would be coming out but we didn’t expect this.” said Mary who had been queuing for  six hours.

Lady Gaga had the day before offered hot-chocolate and biscuits which were delivered by the hotel’s chef. This however was a first for London and her fans really appreciated the generous offerings. Lady G’ was given a round of applause.

The first person who lady Gaga thanked was FLYER Newspaper’s photographer. The cheeky American inserted a cookie in his mouth as he was holding his camera. The American repeated this procedure to the two other photographers that were present.

 Black Eyed Peas get ready to leave London for this weekends Carlisle music festival.

Camera shy Fergie dressed in casuals headed straight for the limousine, her entourage were spotted carrying pillows.   

Other band mates Taboo and Apl, signed for fans whilst Wil-i-am took the back door entrance.

Whilst many of the world’s trend setters were sunning themselves at the Cannes Film Festival, London remained a hotspot of talent.

Lady Gaga was just one of a handful of ‘A’ list celebs enjoying the sights of the capital. Over one hundred people gathered outside of her hotel to catch a glimpse and take pictures as ‘The Ga’ as she is affectionately known was leaving to take part on the Graham Norton show.

Wearing her customary 12inch platform shoes, Gaga nearly fell over on route to her chauffeur driven limousine. As the crowd surged forward she, Gaga clung on to her close protection officer trying to avoid embarrassment.

Three changes of clothes later, ‘The Ga’ made her way from the ITV studios for her secret Gig at Annabelles nightclub in Mayfair.

There was pure mayhem when ‘The Ga’ arrived at the venue for her secret gig. By this time much of London’s paparazzi were there to greet her and the situation rapidly deteriorated.

 “It was pure mayhem, paparazzi were fighting amongst themselves and pretty much every one else.” said an eye witness.

Other guests included British model Kate Moss.

Other celebs in the capital today included Kery Katona who was pictured at the Mayfair Hotel. Former Atomic Kitten band member, Kerry Katona was preparing for her red-carpet appearance at the Pirates of the Caribbean movie premier.

Apl.de.ap from Black Eyed Peas was also spotted out and about Mayfair.

After weeks of speculation Madam Tussauds have unveiled their latest and most audacious project yet. Lady GAGA the flamboyant American singer has been immortalised as a waxwork in London and simultaneously around the world.

The figure is positioned standing centre stage in the interactive music zone. She wears the gigantic Phillip Treacy telephone hat that she sported on Jonathon Ross’s Friday Night show.

The eight styles also unveiled in New York, Las Vegas, Hollywood, Amsterdam, Berlin, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Fans will get a chance to indulge in GAGA interactive fun, posing alongside the figure in an array of outlandish Gaga style accessories, from the obligatory wigs to outlandish shades.

Outside the unveiling there were representatives from Animal Rights campaign group PETA who were campaigning against animal cruelty. They were dressed in lettuce leaf skirts.

A spokeswomen said: “We want people to know that whether you’re eating meet or wearing animal products you’re still endorsing cruelty which is why we are here today.”

Celebrating its 30th birthday – The BRIT Awards 2010 with MasterCard will showcase the sheer depth and diversity of British and International music talent from the past year’s big releases. The big night out in the British music calendar will take place at London’s Earls Court Arena on Tuesday 16 February and screened live to millions on ITV1.

Featured in the nominations list is an eclectic and impressive range of artists who have enjoyed success both in the UK and around the world in 2009. Their achievements have been recognised by the 1000 strong BRITs Academy. The nominations in twelve categories were announced at a media packed launch party, hosted by Radio 1’s Fearne Cotton, at London’s indigO2.

Leading the way with three BRIT nominations each are a quartet of pops finest ladies, UK’s Florence & The Machine, Lily Allen, Pixie Lott and that all American phenomenon Lady Gaga. They will be going head to head in a battle of the females. Having been crowned the most successful selling artist of 2009, with her single ‘Poker Face,’ Lady Gaga makes her BRIT Awards nominations debut with a well-deserved three nominations. Short listed for International Female Solo Artist, International Breakthrough Act and International Album for ‘The Fame’, Lady Gaga will look to be one of the most coveted International acts at The BRITs for many years.

Coming out on top with her critically acclaimed second album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’ Lily Allen takes three nominations, going up against Florence & The Machine for British Female Solo Artist, MasterCard British Album and British Single of the Year for ‘The Fear’. UK newcomer Pixie Lott has stormed the charts with her debut single ‘Mama Do’ which goes up against La Roux, JLS, Lily Allen and Cheryl Cole amongst others for British Single of the Year. Pixie is also nominated for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.

The Anglo American battle will be heavily fought between Dizzee Rascal and American heavy-weight Jay-Z who received double nominations. Dizzee Rascal, heralded as bringing Grime back to the forefront of UK music – paving the way for artists such as N-Dubz and Tinchy Stryder, goes for a win in the categories for British Male Solo Artist and MasterCard British Album. Standing in Dizzee’s way in the British Male Solo Artist category are Calvin Harris, Mika, Robbie Williams and Scotland’s finest, Paolo Nutini who is a two-time nominee. Paolo is also nominated for his superb ‘Sunny Side Up’ album in the MasterCard British Album category.

To celebrate The BRIT Awards 30th anniversayr, The BRITs 2010 will see two retrospective categories introduced to pay homage to the biggest selling album successes and most memorable live performances of the past 30 years.

The ‘BRITs Memorable Performance of 30 Years’ Award will see a shortlist of stunning live performances from BRITs history showcased on a special ‘BRITs Hits 30’ television special broadcast by ITV1 on Saturday 23 January hosted by Mel B. Once aired, viewers will be able to vote online through the itv.com/brits and gm.tv websites with the winner being announced at the main show on 16 February at Earls Court.
