Staring Bollywood Heartthrob Hrithik Roshan and Mexican beauty, Barbara Mori, KITES premiered in London’s Leicester Square.

Amongst the A-list of celebrities Joining them on the red carpet was fashion model Jasmia Robinson, a former contestant in television show, ‘Britain’s Next Top Model’.

The trilangual film (English-Spanish-Hindi) centres around two immigrants – one from India and one from Mexico – both navigating life in North America in pursuit of their dreams. Destiny unites them through the most unexpected twist of fate.

‘Kites’ is the widest ever release for any Indian film production to date and heralds a new milestone in international filmmaking. The film is directed by Anurag Basu, one of the most forward-thinking directors to emerge from India, fearless in his vision of breaking the conventions associated with Indian filmmaking.

As with any red carpet premier behind the scenes things were definitely heating up. Sade from Fresh Strawberry provided the styling for Jasmia. “I chose a selection of dresses by upcoming designer Georgie W Couture.”

“Georgie W Couture’s collection perfectly compliments Jasmia.  We could have chosen any number of garments.” said Fresh Strawberry CEO Sade Salami.

Once Jasmia’s credentials had been verified by the media agencies Jasmia was included on the celebrity guest list and photographers ‘tip-sheets’ were updated.

“Standing before fifty photographers shouting; ‘turn this way, over-yer shoulder, eyes to the left love…’ can be a bit challenging but great fun.” Jasmia said to FLYER after the premier.

The night however belonged to the stars of the film Hrithik Roshan and Mexican beauty, Barbara Mori. Wearing a cute strapless black ruffled dress, Barbara Mori appeared relaxed and was very popular amongst the thousands of British, Asian and Bollywood fans that’d descended on the square.

‘Kites’ will be released across the UK by Reliance BIG Pictures on 21^st May 2010. The European Premiere took place on Tuesday 18th May, Odeon West End, Leicester Square London.

The man is ‘J’ (Hrithik Roshan), but barely recognizable as the once carefree and street-smart trickster that he was. The only thing now keeping him alive is his quest to reclaim the love of his life – ‘Linda’ (Barbara Mori).

This break through movie will be the largest distributed Bollywood film to date.
