<p>Police are refusing to rule out a link between a spate of teenage stabbings that last night resulted in the death of a seventeen year old in Walthamstow, east London.</p>
<p><span id="more-325"></span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/waltham-five.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-327" title="waltham-five" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/waltham-five.jpg" alt="teen death" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>
<p>Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance services were called to the scene following an altercation between youths at approximately 10.30pm in Walthamstow high-street. They found a seventeen year old suffering from stab wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/waltham-four.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-328" title="waltham-four" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/waltham-four.jpg" alt="teen death" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>
<p>Commuters heading to work found much of the high-street cordoned off this morning which remained throughout the day as police forensic teams meticulously scoured the streets for evidence.</p>
<p>It is hoped that the relatively cold weather spell and the speed in-which police teams arrived on the scene will lead to some quick arrests.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/waltham-two1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-331" title="waltham-two" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/waltham-two1.jpg" alt="teen killing" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>
<p>A local policeman said: “We have been inundated with enquires from the general public but at this time I cannot release any more information.”</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/waltham-three.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-333" title="waltham-three" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/waltham-three.jpg" alt="teen killing" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>
<p>It is however believed from local sources that the deceased is in-fact a local youth of around seventeen years of age however local reporters have been met with a wall of silence from local people. To date there has been no-further information released to the press.</p>

<p>The English Defence League (EDL) plummeted to new depths today by parading several of their new recruits. They had hoped that by including a few deluded Black and Asian recruits they could somehow convince the public that they are no-longer considered a racist organisation and an extra arm of the British National Party.</p>
<p><span id="more-308"></span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/edl-london-two.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-310" title="edl-london-two" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/edl-london-two.jpg" alt="edl black" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>
<p>The planned demonstration coincided with the controversial visit to England of Dutch far right extremist Gert Wilders who reportedly described the Koran as a fascist book.</p>
<p>Arriving in Parliament square at 3.30pm the EDL were confronted by over 300 anti fascist demonstrators. Police funnelled them onto a small grassy verge for their own protection and the opposing sides traded insults.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/edl-london-six.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-312" title="edl-london-six" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/edl-london-six.jpg" alt="edl supporters" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>
<p>Mark Weir, reporter at the scene said: “The EDL supporters appeared to have changed their tactics since the violent demonstrations in Luton, Harrow and Birmingham. However their  attempts to convince the public into believing that they are not just a party simply made-up of racist football thugs is unlikely to have been achieved today. They were out-numbered and given a police escort for there own protection.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/edl-eight.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-314" title="edl-eight" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/edl-eight.jpg" alt="edl support" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>
<p>Sensing that the anti-fascist demonstrators had gained the upper-hand the EDL could only counter with chants such as “England for English&#8230;.and ban the Burka&#8230;”</p>
<p>When this didn’t work two dejected looking black and Asian youth’s were hoisted onto the shoulders of two stocky looking EDL individuals for an impromptu photocal.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/edl-london-three.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-315" title="edl-london-three" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/edl-london-three.jpg" alt="shoulders" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>
<p>This despicable act by individuals hell-bent on using every tool at their disposal in an attempt to be seen as a legitimate organisation should be viewed as warning to minority communities living in Britain.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/edl-london-seven.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-316" title="edl-london-seven" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/edl-london-seven.jpg" alt="shoulder two" width="320" height="460" /></a></p>
<p>In the run-up to the general election these thugs will stop at nothing in their attempts to achieve a non inclusive Britain. Minority communities should be vigilant.” said Mark Weir.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/edl-london-five.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-318" title="edl-london-five" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/edl-london-five.jpg" alt="edl final" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>

<p>If there was a prize for ‘The most visited shows’ then Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts would’ve achieved first place. She was mobbed by fans and then posed for some pictures with representatives campaigning for more models from diverse backgrounds.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/geldo-chung-nicole-unique.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-292" title="geldo-chung-nicole-unique" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/geldo-chung-nicole-unique.jpg" alt="Geldof and friends" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>
<p>Keeping it in the family, Peaches and sister Pixie Geldof daughters of Bob Geldof shared their time equally. ‘FLYSPY’ spotted the girls at Henry Holland, Pam Hogg and Unique but we suspect they visited many more. Pixie was joined by pals Alexa Chung and Remi Nicole at Unique.</p>

<p>Noisettes front women Shingai Shinowa was the star attraction at Basso and Brooke.</p>
<p>The Saturdays were spotted at Jaeger.</p>

<p>The High Schools Street Dance Championships has teemed up with Beat Bullying empowering thousands of young people across England with the confidence to combat bullying at school, in their community and online.</p>
<p><span id="more-270"></span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/wyatt-banjo.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-272" title="wyatt-banjo" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/wyatt-banjo.jpg" alt="Banjo and Wyatt attend launch" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>
<p>The first of its kind in the country, the collaboration hopes to resonate heavily with young people throughout England. Street dance is the most popular form of Dance in the UK and this innovative partnership will not only promote self-confidence and healthy lifestyle, but will also provide a unique platform for young people to stand up against bullying.</p>
<p>The inter-high school competition will support Beat Bullying by providing various resources including information packs and wristbands at all regional finals, as well as attending the launch alongside Kimberley Wyatt, Chipmunk, George Sampson, Ashley Banjo and Sisco Gomez.</p>

<p>Kimberley said: “I’m supporting UDO because the spark in popularity of dance in the younger generations has been incredible! <p>Not even the torrential rain and sub-zero temperatures could dampen the spirits of one of the UK’s most prestigious nights on the music calendar. Carrying the flag for England was Lilly Allen. But if there was an award for over-hyped- red carpet arrivals then Lady Gaga’s would have added another award to her tally of three.</p>
<p><span id="more-239"></span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/lilly-allen1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-261" title="lilly-allen" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/lilly-allen1.jpg" alt="Lilly Allen attends Brit awards" width="320" height="460" /></a></p>
<p>Allen who has reportedly threatened to give up music for acting was pitched against her flamboyant US counterpart, public exhibitionist Lady Gaga (Stefani Germanotta). Bookies favourite Gaga brushed the Brits aside by winning three gongs.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/alicia-keys2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-262" title="alicia-keys" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/alicia-keys2.jpg" alt="Alicia Keys attends Brits" width="320" height="460" /></a></p>
<p>On the fashion front the US chart topper Alecia Keys stole the headlines but poor Alexandra Burke can’t seem to hit the right note with her red-ball gown.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/alexandra-burke2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-263" title="alexandra-burke" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/alexandra-burke2.jpg" alt="Alexandra burke attends Brits" width="320" height="460" /></a></p>
<p>Credited with bring grime music to the mainstream Dizzee Rascal took home the award for best British male solo artist. “It’s about –time.” said the much deserved artist in accepting his award.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/jls-brits1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-264" title="jls-brits" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/jls-brits1.jpg" alt="JLS attend Brits" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>
<p>Croydon boys JLS also proved that perseverance can lead to success. They scooped a bevy of awards including: British Break-through act and British Single.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/n-dubz1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-265" title="n-dubz" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/n-dubz1.jpg" alt="N Dubz attend Brit awards" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>
<p>N-Dubz however will have to wait another year but that didn’t stop them from partying hard. Tulissa looked a little worse for wear at a pre-party event and later admitted she hadn’t realised her leggings were see-through.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/sugababes-brits.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266" title="sugababes-brits" src="http://www.flyernewspaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/sugababes-brits.jpg" alt="Sugababes attend Brits" width="460" height="320" /></a></p>
