Duchess Catherine wraps up in West London
We were kind of hoping the Catherine Duchess of Cambridge would be wearing something slightly warmer in colour to take our minds off the arctic temperature however the excitement and cheers from local school children left everybody with a warm glow.
Stepping out wearing a pale blue knee length coat over her floral dress, the Duchess was welcomed by crowds of flag waving school children when she arrived at the Kensington Aldridge Academy in West London. Duchess Catherine who is six months pregnant looked the picture of elegance as she chatted to staff and school children who are likely to remember this occasion for a very long time.
As part of her pre-arranged visit the Duchess unveiled a plaque to officially open the school for 11-18 year olds in West London.
Catherine was pictured chatting to staff and the children some of which found it hard to contain their excitement.
Kensington Aldridge Academy is a modern complex which has incorporated a hub to encourage entrepreneurial skills. The Duchess’s visit follows an earlier engagement at a west London charity and the Royal opens neighbouring leisure centre later in the day.
