Designer Petroucci reveals carnival collection
Preparations for Europe’s largest street festival the Notting Hill Carnival are in full swing. Throughout the bank holiday weekend over one million people are expected to party to the beat of the music.
The Notting Hill Carnival which celebrates its 50th year of Steel pan is an explosion of Caribbean culture in its entirety.
Typically planning for carnival is a year-long process with costumes requiring hours of labour.
Leading enterprises such as Mahoganny arts facilitate an educational programme within their organization to empower the young volunteers with information about Caribbean culture and their history.
For many party goers Carnival is also a great place to hang out with friends and to see and be seen.
Leading design label Petroucci Designs has been at the forefront of creative clothing.
Whilst some of Petroucci’s stock is individually sourced much of the clothing on display have been designed in-house.
Speaking to Flyer Newspaper CEO of Petroucci Clothing Pedoro said: “We are unique in that our clothes are cost-effective and vibrant.
Most of our products are specially commissioned therefore you’re unlikely to find the same-designs anywhere else.”
The clothes were modelled by Rochaun and Sharlene.
