After-party violence could’ve been avoided
Did a security blunder lead to the violence at Drakes after party in central London?
Security experts have questioned the methods used to control the crowds at recording artist Drake’s after party in central London. Press pictures appear to suggest that the security team created a channel and were facing inwards rather than facing the crowd.
Speaking to FLYER Newspaper a security expert said: “If this was the case then I’m not surprised that the violence happened because they couldn’t see the crowd behind them. Anything could have happened.”
Tension was running high before the incident after one member of the security openly mocked a VIP guest. According to paparazzi he said: “Take my picture I’m more famous than they are.” From this moment the trust between the paparazzi and the security was reportedly broken. (It is usually the case that paparazzi update the security on which celebs are travelling in which cars).
With tensions rising some guests reportedly waited upwards of two hours with no fixed guarantee of entry, shortly after Drake arrived a group of men surged forward and tried to force their way into the club. This was met with resistance and resulted in complete chaos.
