Prince Harry attends Nelson Mandela Service
HRH Prince Harry was amongst dignitaries who attended the Nelson Mandela Thanksgiving Service at Westminster Abbey in London.
The Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate the life and work of Nelson Mandela was held at Westminster Abbey in London.
Arriving just before midday Prince Harry was greeted at the entrance to the Abbey.
South African High Commissioner to the UK said: “South Africa greatly appreciates this rare honour that will be bestowed on our former President.”
“Westminster Abbey is the final resting place of seventeen British monarchs and some of the most significant figures in the United Kingdom’s history are commemorated in the Abbey.”
This exclusive event was attended by dignitaries including David Cameron, Joanna Lumley and Richard E Grant Floella Benjamin, Idris Elba and the South African High Commissioner to the UK (above).
