London awakes to a winter wonderland

Thousands of people took the slopes when London was transformed into a wild winter wonderland this weekend.

For some people the winter wonderland was about being stuck for hours on the M25, for others this was  an opportunity to take to the slopes and go sledging.

Yulrick and Dieana were amongst hundreds of people who headed to Alexandra Palace to go sledging. Eight inches of snow plus steep slopes equals plenty of fun.

Whilst Yulrick and Dieana purchased their sled locally others made use of whatever they could find lying around.

Speaking to Flyer Dieana said: “I didn’t really think too much about what I was wearing so long as I keep warm. I just happened to like animals and Yulrick has a tattoo of tiger also.”

These fashionistas clearly made an impression on these slopes.

Also making an impression for a rather different reason was Alex who just happened to have an inflatable dinghy lying around his house.

The Dinghy was more about comfort rather than speed as Alex explained. Alex however hadn’t bargained on others hitch-hiking a ride down these slopes and soon after keeled over.

The annual makeup show IMATS was held in London this weekend. Every year hundreds of exhibitors descend on Alexandra Palace to display the latest trends in make-up and special effects.

Body painting proved a big hit at this years show.

Stylist Andre Lime Dumont from Makeup Forever also impressed with his creation (below).
