Britain’s brainiest twins celebrate success

The Imafidon family had plenty to cheer as they stepped out in central London this morning. Paula and Peter Imafidon aged 11 years from East London became two of the youngest students and the first twins to pass their ‘A’ level ICT exam today with a grade E. They both studied for their exams at the Wilson Foundation ‘Excellence in Education’ programme.

Both children had already attained their GCSE Maths at the age of 6, their AS Maths at 7 and their ICT GCSE aged 9.

Peter’s ambition is to become Prime Minister and his sister wants to become a maths teacher.

The Imafidon family is also celebrating their sister Samantha’s success. Aged 13, Samantha also gained an‘A’ level in ICT today with a  grade D and sister Anne Marie Imafidon last month had become one of the youngest student to receive a Double Masters Degree in Math’s and Computer Science at the age of 20 from Oxford University.

Commenting on his family’s success Dr Chris Imafidon, an educational consultant said, “We are very proud of all our children and their achievements. Everyone can achieve, regardless of post-code, age, creed, or race. They have all studied under the ‘Excellence in Education’ programme and we believe that when educating children we need to follow their lead and their interests.

Following their appearance on Daybreak TV show, the children said they were most looking forward to having a Nando’s for lunch.

We have to be there to guide them when they are stuck and be facilitators for their learning.”
