Miss London – Rissikat wins Best Beach Body
Miss England hopeful Rissikat Bade’s dreams of representing England at Miss World moved a step closer this afternoon when she was crowned Miss Best Beach Body which automatically leap-frogs her into the final fifteen.
The London beauty, shunned by major model agencies was reportedly ecstatic when she heard the news this afternoon.
Rissikat Bade who hit the headlines this week announcing she had been turned down by the leading model agencies has reached the top 15 finalists by winning the ‘Best Beach Body’ competition. Besides reaching the top fifteen, she wins a modeling assignment with Sandstorm Boutique. The judges were Alan Strutt, the celebrity photographer and Sandstorm Boutique.
21-year-old Rissikat, who is studying law at the South Bank University, speaks three languages and stands at 5ft 10ins, plans to finish her law degree, even if she wins Miss England. She was born in the Congo to Nigerian parents.
It was also announced today from the Miss England office that due to public demand, the finals on Tuesday 19thJuly will be streamed live on the Miss England website www.missengland.info. The entire show will be broadcast free, from 7.30pm – 11.00pm GMT and be hosted by Charlotte Holmes from Britain’s Top Model, who came 4th in the 2010 Miss England finals. Angie Beasley, Managing Director of Miss England said, “This is very exciting and will allow everybody to see the finals and the crowning of Miss England 2011. This year is very important as the Miss World finals will be held in London on the 6th November, so the winner of Miss England will also have to be an Ambassador for her country.” The show will be streamed by Silverstream TV.
