April showers greeted stars for the start of the Capital FM Summertime Ball at Wembley. Headlining this year’s extravaganza was Latin beauty Jennifer Lopez.

Arriving back at her hotel at 1.pm, J-Lo’s security stopped the papparazi from getting pictures. “It was gloves off for her departure for the Summertime Ball, we had an agreement that was broken by them.” said a  paparazzi.

In central London groups of South American fans had been queuing for a chance to glimpse the star at her hotel. Jennifer waved briefly towards her fans before climbing into the people carrier with her twins.

Actor Oliver Samuels headed to the Hackney Empire in east London to perform hit murder-mystery play ‘Midnight at Pus Creek’, written by Patrick Brown. He was joined on stage by a stellar cast such as: Glen Campbell, Camille Davies, Teisha Duncan and Courtney Wilson.

Over 1200 people headed to the Hackney Empire, London to see Jamaican play ‘Midnight at Puss Creek,’ named after a fictitious Gothic mansion.

Proprietor and matriarch – Zelda Matalon ruled over an army of cats and her house-keeper Della. Zelda finds herself on deaths door which triggers a series of conflict by those hoping to benefit from her estate. The anxiety leads to suspicion when a murder is committed.

The finger of suspicion pointed firmly at the surviving family members, Detective Inspector Tracey (Courtney Wilson) and Constable Tek Bribe (Glen Campbell) evoked much laughter amongst the audience with their investigative methodology deployed in solving the crime.
