London Latino beauty jets off to Las Vegas
Miss Universe GB 2010 winner, Tara Hoyos-Martinez, a Latino stunner, is hoping to do Great Britain proud this month when she jets out to Las Vegas to join Donald Trump and the 80 contestants from around the globe to compete for the coveted title of Miss Universe 2010
Tara, 20, a medical science student from London with Columbian roots, is hoping that her sultry Latino looks will help her stand out from the crowd at the finals this summer.
Speaking exclusively to FLYER News at the Carnival Del Pueblo, Europe’s largest Latin American music and culture festival, Hoyos said “Salsa is my culture, I’ve grown up in this environment and today’s been fabulous meeting some of the worlds leading Latin bands. I’m leaving for Las Vegas this Saturday to join Donald Trump and the other contestants.”
Tara will leave Britain for Vegas on Saturday 7 August. She will be staying at a luxurious hotel and casino, which will host the contestants and the competition final on Monday 23 August.
Other beauties that’ve bucked the trend included: April Jackson from London who was crowned Miss Jamaica UK. April travelled to Jamaica to compete against Jamaica’s home-grown beauties. April unified both the UK and Jamaica titles by winning Miss Jamaica Universe and therefore qualified to represent Jamaica at Miss Universe in 2008.
Against all odds, the beautiful Zanhra Redwood (Pictured above) became the first Rastafarian to represent Jamaica at Miss Universe in 2007.
